Dave DeVries CFP®, CKA®, RICP®

Dave DeVries, CFP®, CKA®, RICP® attended the University of Sioux Falls where he played basketball and eventually received his MDIV (Master's in Divinity) from Sioux Falls Seminary. After receiving his MDIV Dave continued his education by attaining the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation from the CFP® Board along with his RICP® (Retirement Income Certified Professional) from the American College of Financial Services and his CKA® (Certified Kingdom Advisor) designation.  Dave is also a SmartVestor Pro with the Ramsey Solutions team.

Dave is born and raised in Sioux Falls and was blessed to be raised in a home that taught him solid foundational principles from a young age. Even as a kid Dave remembers his parents teaching him proper stewardship principles through 3 jars on top of the fridge of Give, Save and Spend.

 Prior to joining Meadowland Financial Group LLC Dave was a pastor for 9 years in the Sioux Falls area and also helped plant a church in Brandon, SD. During this time Dave helped facilitate FPU (Financial Peace University) classes helping others gain knowledge on how to be successful financially.  After his role as a pastor Dave spent 6 years as a Financial Advisor with Thrivent where he focused on areas of wealth/estate planning and overall financial planning helping clients with all aspects of their financial goals. 

 When Dave is not in the office, he loves spending time with his wife Jackie and their kids Ethan and Emma. You will also find Dave staying active whether at the gym, hiking, biking and playing basketball or any active sport with his family. Dave has been a part of the LSS mentoring program for over 20 years and has also served with the Big Brother/Big Sister organization as well as the Special Olympics. Dave stays very active at their church (Embrace Church) where he serves in multiple capacities.
