Matthew W. Grimlie MBA, CFP®

Matthew W. Grimlie MBA, CFP® is a graduate of South Dakota State University with a degree in Business with an emphasis in Economics. While at the University, he was a member of the football and wrestling teams, earning Academic All-American honors. Matt pursued his MBA in Finance from Creighton University and has attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation from the CFP® Board.

Originally from a dairy farm in rural South Dakota, Matt understands the importance of planning due to the unexpected loss of his father. This event is ultimately what led Matt down the path of founding Meadowland Financial Group LLC.

Prior to Meadowland Financial Group LLC, Matt began his career at TD Ameritrade in Omaha where he met Pete. Matt then moved to St. Louis and as Divisional Guidance Manager, he helped establish and grow Scottrade Investment Management.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife Tatia and their son Jack, as they recently became a family of three. Welcoming their little one has brought an extra layer of happiness and excitement to their family. Matt also enjoys getting back to the farm to spend time with his mom and dog Rudy. His love of South Dakota will always be conflicted with his hope that winter doesn’t last 6 months.
